USAF (Ret.) Major General Jess Allen is a 1942 graduate of Fisher High School. He served in the United State Army in the European Theater from 1943 to 1946. He later served 26 years in the United States Air force, earning promotions from private to major general. During his years in the military, he participated in three wars and flew over 350 combat missions. In addition, he has had thirteen years of command experience in air-fighter and special operations.

In 1949, he graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Animal Science. Later, he earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree from George Washington University. Major General Allen is currently engaged in defense education evaluation projects.
