Jack Spitz

Jack Spitz graduated from Fisher High School in 1962. He served in the United States Navy from 1962 until 1970. During his enlistment in the Navy he completed submarine and ballistic missile school and made seven patrols and logged 2 ½ years of submerged time. Following his enlistment in the Navy, Jack worked for the Burroughs Corporation at Chanute Air Force Base as a site engineer. In 1976 Jack was a co-founder of Design and Manufacturing Inc, a company that created film platter systems used in theater projections booths, in Fisher, Illinois. Jack started Design and Manufacturing with three employees and a debt of $60,000. When he retired from Design and manufacturing in 1998, Design and Manufacturing had 83 employees and sales of over $8,000,000. Jack is currently the chairman of the board of the Fisher National Bank, serves as a Sunday school teacher at the American Lutheran Church, and is a mentor at Fisher High School. He resides in Fisher, Illinois with his wife Brenda.
