Michael Hofferth is a Fisher High School graduate from the class of 1996. Upon leaving Fisher, he headed west to attend Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. There he obtained a B.A. in Advertising with an emphasis in Business Administration graduating in 2000. While at Pepperdine he was able to cut his business teeth during the dot-com explosion, being a key player in the online advertising and product integration forum. It was there that he developed the skills to turn a start-up company into a full-fledged profitable machine working with some of the most notable brands on the web today.

In 2001 Mr. Hofferth entered the entertainment industry where he gained the knowledge necessary to create, build, maintain, and solidify various ideas across all platforms of media. From 2001 to 2007 he worked aggressively to oversee multiple projects in excess of 100MM in spite of the few years he spent in the industry. He has worked in conjunction with FOX, CBS, ABC/ Touchstone Television, NBC, WB, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., VH-1, CMT, Nickelodeon, and DIRECTV.

In 2007 Mr. Hofferth started Kombine Media, Inc., which was founded on the notion that technology would eventually challenge traditional forms of media and force change through convergence. He keeps that same forward thinking and fresh approach when it comes to all aspects of a client’s needs. The name Kombine Media has two meanings; the first alludes to his roots growing up in Fisher, Illinois, and the second stems from having the foresight to acknowledge the malleability of the industry due to technological advancements.

Today, Kombine Media Inc. produces all traditional formats of video production, live television, brand integration, concert tours, music videos, electronic press kits, web content, and innovative marketing & advertising campaigns.

In addition to being CEO of Kombine Media, Inc., Mr. Hofferth has held positions as Production Manager for the hit TV Series American Idol and is currently Supervising producer of the hit TV Series The X-Factor, both of which air on FOX.
